My Approach to Therapy

I offer both short term and long term remote therapy. During this, I enjoy building trusting relationships with my clients and working collaboratively to help with whichever issues you may bring.

In sessions, I will strive to empathise with your emotional experiences, refrain from passing judgement, and always be open and honest. Talking about issues to someone with these values can be healing in itself because it can help you get a new perspective on what is troubling you, helping make more sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

I have seen how this has empowered previous clients to regain control over their lives and live more in line with who they want to be.

As well as this, I can also help you to explore the factors that have contributed to your current issues, whether that is relationships, childhood, ongoing situations or traumatic life events. Gaining a better understanding of how these are contirbuting to current issues can be beneficial to mental wellbeing as it helps us resolve these issues and lessens the impact they continue to have.

Sometimes, I help my clients find solutions to their problems drawing from their own expertise on what has worked in the past as well finding new solutions together. I can then be there to support you as you try to implement these.

Remote Therapy

Remote therapy is becoming increasingly popular due to its convenience and ease of access. Some people also prefer to attend therapy from the comfort of their own home, and research shows it can be as effective as in person therapy for a wide range of issues.

Video Therapy

I offer video therapy via Google Meet which requires no downloads. This method is great if you want the benefits of remote therapy and would prefer to have face to face interaction.

Telephone Therapy

I will call you at an arranged time. Some find talking on the phone makes them feel more relaxed, confident and able to communicate. It also requires less equipment than video.
